ABOUT VERNACULAR
Technology, translated.
One practice, dedicated to making the systems you depend on understandable, usable, and yours.
HOW WE WORK
Change is defined by three pillars.
Technology is the easy part. Lasting change depends on the people who use the system, the processes it runs on, and the leaders who drive it.
People
The team has to adopt the change, not just endure it. We build the training and support that turn a new system into one people actually use.
Process
Tools should fit how the work already flows. We map and rebuild the processes underneath so the system serves the work, not the other way around.
Leadership
Change sticks only when leaders own it. We bring executives in early so the transformation is driven from the top, not pushed up from below.
Meet the founder
For the last decade, I've watched organizations struggle with the same thing: they invest in technology, and it still doesn't work for the people who use it. I learned to fix that by putting change management at the center, choosing and building systems around how teams actually work, not the other way around.
I'm Codey Young, founder of Vernacular Solutions. Before starting this practice, I led digital transformation at a prominent philanthropic family office and ran systems and data at social-impact media organizations. In every role, the work was judged by the same measure: whether people actually used what we built.
I started Vernacular Solutions because most technology help comes in one of two unhelpful forms: there's the large firm that's too expensive and too slow, and there's the single-tool specialist who fixes one thing and leaves the rest tangled. Most organizations don't have a single-system problem; they have scattered tools, scattered data, and no one running the whole thing as a project. That's the gap Vernacular was built to fill.
I hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and am completing an AI Governance Professional (AIGP) certification, so the AI work comes with real governance behind it, not more hype.
Let's build together.
If your systems have outgrown the way you work, let's talk it through.
No pressure, no jargon.
